Sean Erwin is what many would consider a triple threat in the entertainment industry. He is a singer, an actor, and a seasoned musical theatre performer. He can sing a variety of genres from Pop to Opera.
“Expect the unexpected. You have to be prepared for anything”. Sean was given that advice about the music industry, not because he hasn't already experienced many musical adventures, but because every performance is subject to scrutiny. Sean started singing at age 6, and through the years, he had a lot of extensive vocal training from different vocal instructors, including Seth Riggs (vocal coach of Hollywood celebrities like Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand).
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Sean got his big break at age 12 in the Broadway musical, “The King and I”. He portrayed the major role of Prince Chulalongkorn in hundreds of cities in the U.S. including Canada. At the 2005 World Championships of Performing Art, he won 8 medals besting outstanding talents from 30 other participating countries. He won 4 gold in Pop, Opera, R&B,
and World Music categories, 1 Silver in Contemporary, 1 Bronze in Broadway and Acting, & 1 entertainment industry medal. His lists of credits are both impressive and long, including appearances in Broadway musicals such as Oliver, Camelot, Brigadoon, Annie Get Your Gun, etc. at various Southern California Civic Light Operas.
Sean graduated from the Orange County High School of the Arts where he majored in musical theatre and voice. He studied Music and Drama at the University of California, Irvine. Currently, he is pursuing a degree in Communication at the University of Texas. Sean is no stranger to the concert scene. He’s had successful solo concerts in various California cities like Los Angeles, Torrance, National City & San Diego. He has wholeheartedly rendered his voice in fund raising events for the Typhoon Haiyan victims and for the Cebu-based Mary Queen of Heaven Missionaries who rescues victims of prostitution. He has been a guest singer in concerts of various Filipino artists such as Sarah Geronimo, Lani Misalucha, Marco Sison, Rico Puno, Hajji Alejandro, Patricia Javier, & Joanna Ampil.
Sean continues to support causes in 2015, 2016 and 2017. He continues to add more cause-oriented events to his impressive resume with the invitation of this writer Jun Caringal, Executive Vice President of Queen of Asia Pacific (QAP). The openness and understanding among the 21 member-countries represented in this rich region was boosted.
Sean followed his impact in entertainment on November 22, 2015 when he opened with four amazing songs the concert that featured the legendary lead singer of Cascades, John Gummoe. The concert was produced by Jun Caringal, CEO of Sapphire Films and Concerts with its beneficiary – the Gawad Kalinga project in the Philippines of GK-eRotary Club. It was attended by fellow Pangasinenses namely; immediate past president PB-USA Eddie C. Ferrer, CEO of America Pacific Container Line, Inc.; Felix B. Lopez and fellow Utopians of the Ateneo College of Law; Dan E. Nino, past president of PB-USA and his brods from APO Fraternity alumni; Ernie Delfin, founding president of GK-eRotary and fellow Rotarians; Sunday Punch writer Ping Coquia of Dagupan City, Yvonne SJ Sera, TGU President and hubby Ron Sera, fellow Urdanetanians Fe Gonzales Sepulveda, Gigi & Rey de Vera, Mario & Eva Mateo, Cynthia Cortez and friends of Evelyn Collado,
Sean was the main feature of the successful fund-raising Concert for a Cause in 2016 held at SM Rosales in Pangasinan. The whole proceeds of the concert of more than P250,000 was for the church of Our Lady Guadalupe in Barangay Piaz, Villasis, Pangasinan. It was organized by Soledad Obedoza Montilla, Jun Caringal, Rev. Fr. Dionisio B. Luzano, parish administrator with the blessings of the Bishop of the Archdiocese of Urdaneta, Pangasinan. He followed this up this year 2017, in Concert for a Cause 2. It was held at the newly-renovated Villasis auditorium in Pangasinan. The fund-raising event gained more revenue than the first one and benefited the same worthy cause led by Soledad Obedoza Montilla and parishioners of Villasis

In A Vision and a Journey: There is Hope, Let Us Make it Happen, Jun Caringal wrote that Eddie Ferrer encouraged the group by saying that amidst all the healthy economic forecast by elite financial experts, PB-USA stands aligned with Pope Francis' world apostolate to reach the marginalized sector of our community who are more often than not downtrodden and forgotten. More actions are needed. If it takes the poor to help the poor, so be it.
